Keith Barrow has been a well-known name synonymous within the heating and plumbing industry in Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas for the past 15 years. In 2009 Keith Barrow Heating & Plumbing (Special Projects) Ltd was formed consisting of a team of key personnel from varied backgrounds with the relevant knowledge, expertise and technical awareness to lead the company through its inception within the current economic climate to its current stature at present within the building services industry as a small sized Mechanical Contracting firm undertaking works valued up to 250K.
Keith Barrow Heating & Plumbing (Special Projects) Ltd employ a unique and successful approach to the mechanical contractor's role with regards to both new build and refurbishment contracts. The team as a whole have taken practical and positive lessons from both previous experience and projects undertaken since 2009 giving ourselves a sound skill base when undertaking new build, refurbishment, be-spoke and small works contracts within the construction industry.
Working closely with End-Users, Architects, Main Contractors, Consultants and Specialist sub-contractors we have developed a management structure and information system which ensures all requests are dealt with promptly and are able to adapt and meet the requirements of our clients advising on budget, on programme and to meet latest legislative requirements.
Keith Barrow Heating & Plumbing (Special Projects) Ltd have strong working relationships with a number of high quality Main Contractors and specialist sub-contractors with expertise in air conditioning and ventilation, controls, renewable technologies, BREEAM, Health & Safety and CDM 2007. We have strong links of communications with a number a major suppliers and manufacturers alike whose expertise we can utilise when required.
Within the office we are able to see projects through from initial conception through to final completion directly for end-users but are also equally adapt when competively tendering for works which enables us to work both directly for end-users and as a third party sub-contractor for main contractors alike which helps generate the turnover and keeps ourselves competitive within the building services industry.
We have our own in-house design team but where required and dependant on the project value the design may be out-sourced accordingly to meet timescales for production. We utilise our own directly employed labour for a number of mechanical services but do out-source certain areas to specialists which we have built trusted relationships, with regards to air conditioning and ventilation works and providing controls packages.
Due to the size of the current workforce we do not pretend to exceed expectation and limit the value of the works which we are currently able to undertake between £0K - £250K accordingly and are currently looking to achieve a turnover of £900K for 2011-2012 of which £450K is currently secured or in progress.
Many of our clients return repeatedly whether they should be end-users or main contractors, often extending their recommendations allowing Keith Barrow Heating & Plumbing (Special Projects) Ltd to maintain a turnover necessary to remain competitive within the market place. In addition to our contracts work our small works division not only means that we are able to provide a dedicated service during our contracts, but ensures the clients peace of mind for the years following completion by establishing PPM contracts to ensure the mechanical services installations run smoothly.
History
Formed in 2009 Keith Barrow Heating & Plumbing (Special Projects) Ltd has progressively developed as a Mechanical Contractor and Project Management company.
The management team have been with the company since its inception. Through their dedication and clients recommendations we have developed a stable growth within a difficult economic climate, enabling the company to open its door to new employees whilst maintaining the current workforce.
The wealth of knowledge and expertise gained through the team members experiences both in the office and site staff alike has enabled us to maintain our high standards and quality of work. Any challenges which do arise are dealt with swiftly for all parties concerned through this wealth of experience.
With key members of the team having worked within the industry for a number of years we have been able to utilise previous trusted relationships with specialist suppliers and contractors alike. This gives us an edge when the need arises to act swiftly to client requirements, maintain continuity and program works effectively.
